A Proposal for Ryan Frederick · Prepared by Janice Omadeke

Positioning Place Planning as a leading resource for knowing how to build a meaningful next chapter.

Ryan,

I remain energized by your vision and the insights you’re sharing through Place Planning. The timing of Homing: The Life-Changing Practice of Place Planning, paired with your experience through Here.life and the impact of Right Place, Right Time, speaks directly to conversations people are already having without a clear framework to guide their decision-making.

You have the credibility and depth of perspective to reach a broad audience. With Right Place, Right Time already establishing the research and philosophy behind Place Planning, and Homing on the way, the foundation is already in place. This proposal is focused on building the audience, visibility, and thought leadership platform that will carry both books, and the work behind them, to the people who need it most.

Thank you,
Janice Omadeke

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

HOW WE WORK

My process is intentional from day one.

  • We already did this — and it mattered. Before any strategy or creative work begins, I need to understand your business at the level of someone who's going to show up for it the way you do.

  • WEEK 1

Before we talk strategy, we talk about how we actually work together. This is one of my favorite parts — and the one most people skip. We don't skip it.

We will walk through your current tech stack, pitch deck, and any existing collateral so I can understand the full picture. Then we go deeper.

We're co-creating a real working relationship, built to last and move with synchronicity and intention. Let's get the uncomfortable details out of the way so nothing slows us down later.

    The questions include:

    • Who do you want to be coming out of this?

    • Which parts of the marketing process are giving you the biggest grief right now?

    • Are you a morning person or a night owl — and when are you available?

    • Do you prefer daily stand-ups, Slack, WhatsApp, email — or none of the above?

    • What are your communication and collaboration pet peeves? What makes a working relationship fall apart for you?

    • What does success feel like to you at the end of our partnership?

  • WEEK 2–3

A thorough look at everything Here.life has built so far — the website, blog, social channels, newsletter, any brand assets or content — through the lens of a senior marketing leader.

What's working, what's missing, and what's creating friction. What someone who needs Place Planning would see, feel, and think based on what exists today — and where the gap is between that and what they could feel through marketing communications. This audit becomes the foundation for everything we build next.

  • WEEK 2

Based on the audit and everything I know about Here.life and your work, I'll present 2–3 strategic directions for the engagement ahead.

Once we align, we lock in the strategy and move forward. This moment is about getting complete clarity before execution begins — and making sure you're excited about the direction.

  • This is where the execution, experimentation, and work begins. Deliverables are built on a rolling schedule — you always know what's in progress, what's coming, and what we've shipped.

Check-ins are structured per your communication preferences and built into the engagement cadence so nothing falls through.

A SAMPLE OF WHAT’S COMING

High-level ideas from our zoom conversation.

The full gameplan comes in Week 2 after the audit. But here's a taste of the direction — based on our conversation and early research into Here.life and your work.

A Coordinated Digital Visibility Strategy Across the Right Channels

Building your presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and trusted publications through consistent, well-positioned content that introduces Place Planning and Homing to the audiences most likely to connect with the work. This includes developing a focused and easy-to-implement editorial calendar, content direction, caption writing, and scheduling.

Podcast & Speaking Strategy

Getting your work in front of audiences who are already interested in what Place Planning and Homing offer — through the podcasts they listen to, the publications they read, and the events they attend. Taking your pre-established credibility and pitching to event organizers like Work Human and The Second Course to share your work and perspective with people naturally aligned and searching for what Place Planning provides. Target shows, outlets, and conferences researched and identified with angles, pitch copy, and materials developed for each. Everything delivered ready to use.

Segmentation & Audience Expansion

Determining which markets benefit most from Place Planning and how to reach them — from professionals 40 and older who are looking for a framework to reconfigure their lives, to corporate wellness and HR buyers, financial planning firms, and longevity communities. Each segment comes with a research-informed profile and a clear strategy for reaching them.

Brand Development & Collateral

Updating Here.life's website, marketing materials, media kit, and visual identity so the brand you're presenting to the world reflects the credibility and direction of your work.
